I hope that the entire country can see now that the Republican platform, the policies they endorse, and the way that they think the country can be run are completely wrong and do not benefit the whole of America. It has never been more evident that the Republican party is classist and racist. Everything about the way this situation was handled can be applied to the overall party platform. Poor black people stuck in New Orleans means nothing to them. All they care about is that the white rich people, like Trent Lott, are safe and dry.
