Krebs Cast #8
Comments on my first home, iLife '06 mini review, on returning home, why I think American Idol is crap, and pondering a quote.

Great podcast. Yea I agree on the AI thing with the guy that looked like a girl. They really played that up. That kid will likely have scars from that experince.
I went to the kitchen during that part, but spouse was horrified. That was fun listening with coffee and surfing.
Padcast great. But I wanted to mention your header! Very cool Adam! Daddy like.
I really enjoyed this podcast - a lot to think about. I have never liked American Idol - but I also think the harshness you mention is more society as a whole being reflected through Simon (and he is an ass, too).
I like what you have to say. And yes, Simon Cowell is an ass. How he got to where he is right now is beyond me. Or Ryan Seacrest, for that matter.
Wow. Each podcast gets even better. It seems that in the beginning of each season of AI (I assume - I only watched it for one season a couple of years ago), they send on a few people whose sole purpose is to be made fun of. It's mean, it's petty, it's cruel, and the show's popularity speaks volumes about what the American viewing audience deems entertainment.
Oh, and I can't wait for your Phoenix photo-podcast. I haven't been back since leaving in '97. It will be interesting to see the changes (and to see if we have any memorable places in common).
Nice podcast. Being the geek that I am, I was most disappointed by what you said about iLife. I have held off on joint podcasts because I really wanted to use software that got everything right.
American Idol has caused a lot of controversy this past week. GLAAD is pissed off, but I'm sure Fox will just give the brush-off.
I'm looking forward to your photo podcast. That just reminded me of how I first met you ...it was through your photos on flickr. Those are so good.
It's great that you're keeping an open mind about people. You can miss so much of the world if you don't.
Believe it or not, there are gay republicans. I hate Bush, I did not vote for him in 2000 or 2004. I do not support things he does. But technically I do still consider myself republican.
