I want to say that I was overwhelmed by all of your comments on my post yesterday. I did not imagine that it would elicit such a response and I am so thankful for all of your words of encouragement and support. Thank you so much.
This podcast is a result of what happens when I take a step back from things and regroup. I regain my passion.

John Conyers is incredible. His questions about the 2004 elections have been largely ignored by the corporate media (go figure!), but he's never stopped pushing for, at the least, election reform.
Believe me, I'm all for impeachment, but my concern now is that if it does happen this year (more on that in a sec), will it be enough? There are a lot of heads on this particular hydra. If the top 2 (or 3 or . . . ) are chopped off, there are a lot more who can be slipped right into place. Will the rest of America breathe a collective sigh of relief, thinking they've averted a constitutional disaster, when in actuality they've merely postponed it?
Okay. Here's my crackpot theory: I think an impeachment could happen this year. As Bush's popularity continues to tank, the Repubs up for reelection are going to want to distance themselves from him. And unless they are completely confident that they've got the votes locked in, they actually stand a chance of losing some seats at the end of the year. And if Democrats control the House and/or Senate, investigations (likely preceding impeachments) will be flying left and right. Do you think the Real Powers would rather see President Hastert or President Pelosi?
So . . . barring another Pearl Harbor, by late summer, we could see the tides turn and impeachment proceedings begin.
OR . . . before that time, Cheney could resign, Bush could appoint someone less loathsome (Condi?) as VP, then he could resign (but still remain in power).
Hm? Whaddaya think? Oh, sorry, I've gone on too long. But, yes, you're right, we owe it to our country, to ourselves, to the world to do everything in our power to remove these bastards.
Not only impeach, but put to a war-crimes trial Bush/Cheney/and that whole rat-nest of vermin who are ruining our country and sending our young men and women to die in a war over other people's oil...
... they should face the same justice as Hitler and his henchmen in Nuernberg, and Tojo and his henchmen in the Imperial Army/Navy and the Zaibatsu companies as WAR CRIMINALS.
In short, they too should face the gallows if found guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
