The media is ignoring this according to The Raw Story which points out that the New York Times article on the White House Press Correspondent dinner fails to make ANY mention of Stephen Colbert's withering presentation that lampoons not only the president but more importantly the media themselves.

He said what many of us have been eagerly waiting to hear. One of my favorite jokes from that speech:
I stand by this man because he stand for things, not only for things, he stands on things. Things like aircraft carriers, and rubble, and recently flooded city squares. And that sends a strong message, that no matter what happens to America she will always rebound with the most powerfully staged photo ops in the world.

hmm.. there is a fine line to tread, while I found alot of what he said funny and appropos, also like mikeypod, I felt a little bad for the bush. Does this mean I'm becoming republican??
